Meghan McCain Talks About Her Recent Explosive Arguments With Guests On ‘The View’

Meghan McCain isn’t afraid to speak her mind, and she doesn’t back down when she’s called on it. It’s the reason the 34-year-old co-host of The View has found herself making headlines recently. She talked about some of her recent explosive arguments with guests of the show during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live!

The conservative host has gone head-to-head with two guests recently in ways that have spurred a lot of discussion. During a heated exchange with Ana Navarro, Meghan walked off the stage. While that was surprising for viewers, Meghan says it happens all the time behind the scenes, but is usually cut out from the final show.

“I just want to say the walking off footage, we are told by producers to leave the table if it’s too heated,” she explains. “And I get touched up backstage with my makeup. So that’s what I was doing, and I’ve done that many times over the years so I don’t know why this particular time…”

When it came to Pamela Anderson, the two disagreed about Pam’s friendship with Wikileaks founder Julian Assange. “I will say I was a big fan of hers growing up. I actually gave her final Playboy as a gift to my husband because he had a crush on her growing up and I was really disappointed with how it went,” Meghan noted.

She went on to accuse Pamela of coming on the show and engaging in the heated conversation with her for attention and headlines. “Joy Behar actually gave me some really amazing advice that I need to stop helping people get famous that are having a hard time, or get publicity,” Meghan explained. “Because getting in a fight with me is a really good way to get on the front lines. But I stand by everything I said. I think the message she’s giving is incredibly dangerous, in terms of Julian Assange and cyberterrorism.”
