Man Buys Olivia Newton-John’s Iconic ‘Grease’ Jacket For $243,200 — And Gives It Back To Her

Olivia Newton-John, 71, recently auctioned off hundreds of pieces of memorabilia spanning her 50-year career in order to raise money for her cancer center in Australia.

In 2017, the Grammy-winning singer, dancer and actress was diagnosed with breast cancer for the third time.

Her items have been selling like crazy. For example, Olivia’s signature Pink Ladies jacket from “Grease” sold for $50,000… that’s said to be 25 times the estimated price!

Olivia’s iconic black leather jacket from the big finale in “Grease,” where she sang “You’re The One That I Want” alongside John Travolta, also sold for a whopping $243,200 at a charity auction.

It was a bittersweet farewell and she didn’t think she’d ever see the jacket again.

The anonymous buyer says he’s always been a massive fan of Olivia — and when the pair recently met up in person, he had a very special surprise for his idol.

“This jacket belongs to you and the collective soul of those who love you, those for whom you are the soundtrack of their lives,” he told Olivia. “It should not sit in a billionaire’s closet for country club bragging rights.”

And with that, the man handed Olivia a large pink box. You do not want to miss her reaction when she opened it and saw what he’d placed inside…
