In the year 242 AH, during the time of massive tribulations, it is related that the people witnessed a large falcon swooping down on Ḥalab. It warned the people about the tribulation that was to come, speaking in 50 different voices, which was heard by 500 believers!
Imām Ibn al-Jawzī al-Ḥanbalī authored a significant work refuting the Mujassimah, also known as the Wahhābīs in contemporary times, titled ‘Al-Bāz al-Ashhab al-Munqadd ‘alā Mukhālif il-Madhhab al-Ḥanbalī’. In English, it is known as ‘The Flaming Falcon: Swooping Down on the Dissenters of the Ḥanbalī Madhhab’.
