📸 In the time of Imam an-Nawawī (may Allah have mercy on him), the Dar al-Ḥadīth school in Damascus had the Noble Sandal of the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم in its possession. This sandal was kept in a wooden box above the miḥrāb in its Masjid. The Mālikī faqīh, Ḥadīth master, historian, and philologist, Imam Abū Ḥafs al-Fākihānī (may Allah have mercy on him) visited Damascus seeking its barakah. According to Imam Ibn ‘Asākir (may Allah have mercy on him), craftsmen from North Africa and Andalusia made exact copies of the originals in the 13th century. These copies were known to have been given to famous Ḥadīth scholars in major Islamic capitals around the world. Imām Muḥammad al-Zurqānī (may Allah have mercy on him) states: “If possible, kiss the dust that has been touched by the Na’layn (sandals), otherwise, kiss an image of the sandals.” 📙 — [Sharḥ al-Zurqānī ‘alā al-Mawāhib, 5:48]

Prophet Yūsuf’s (peace be upon him) shirt brought sight back to the eyes of his beloved father. Imagine the believers placing the blessed sandal of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ upon their blind hearts! #Sacred
