What an incredibly happy ending for a homeless man named Lee and his beloved pup, Crystal!
Toni Mella Sweeney, who is associated with a volunteer group in Leeds, England called Helping Hands, told Caters News that Crystal had run off after an argument broke out in the underpass where she and her owner, Lee, were sleeping. Toni said Crystal got spooked because of the noisy racket and took off into the unknown.
How heartbreaking!
Although Toni said she received news of multiple sightings, no one could find Crystal.
“For two days we had sightings, then nothing,” she said. “Someone was rumoured to be seen with her, but we never confirmed that. I contacted Murphy’s Army for help and they swiftly put a team in place, people from all over the Country sent well wishes, and followers were doing all the posters.”
Thankfully, after an extensive and grueling week-long search, Crystal was found and reunited with Lee.
“It was awesome when I received the call. The whole event was a whole week of panic and broken emotions, Lee and I spent time together whilst I consoled him and reassured him,” Toni said. “The morning I received the call I immediately went to find Lee. I covered half of Leeds and eventually found him by the coin exchange. We went for food to calm down and then I took him to be reunited with his baby. As you can see from the video, it was altogether mind-blowing.”
Wow, what an amazingly emotional reunion. We’re so happy for Lee and Crystal!
