Hero Cops Arrive At Barn Fire, Find Horse Frozen In Fear And Refuse To Leave Him Behind

When a devastating barn fire broke out at Red Wing Farm in Pennsylvania, a pair of police officers proved to be a true hero.

Police officer Matthew Reiss’ body camera was recording as he bolted towards the fire and asked if there was anyone still inside.

A woman from the farm shouted at the officer, alerting him to the terrified horse still trapped inside.

Reiss and fellow officer Kristian Hanus ran straight into the blazing barn and towards the horse, who was so frozen in fear inside his stall that he couldn’t move.

The officers knew they needed to work together if they wanted to save this animal’s life. It would take a rope and a ton of determination and manpower.

Unfortunately, the fire ultimately destroyed the barn and its shop. The officers on scene suffered minor injuries and eight people needed medical attention. And one horse is very lucky to be alive.

Watch the clip below to see how these officers were able to pull off such an amazing rescue.
