One of the most popular duos on TLC’s sMothered, Dawn and Cher Hubsher, has left many people wondering about the family’s origins. Who is Dawn’s husband? Does Cher have any siblings? Why is she so close with her mother?

Let’s take a closer look at the unique family and break down its different members in the process.

Cher Hubsher is no stranger to reality TV.

Cher was born and raised in Palm Harbor, Fla., where she went to school and competed in pageants growing up. Cher went to college at the University of Florida and decided to study nursing. That’s when she met her current husband, Jared Gopman. The two dated all through college, leading up to Jared asking for Cher’s hand in marriage at the end of their senior year at the Kanahapa Botanical Gardens in Gainesville, Fla.

Similar to her stint on MTV’s My Super Sweet 16, Cher wanted her wedding to be as big as possible, following the theme “Happily Ever After.” Their wedding featured 225 guests, cocktails, sushi, stir-fry, an all-vegetarian dinner, and more. According to the Tampa Bay Times, the couple left the venue in a white horse-drawn carriage, similar to Cinderella.

In an interview with the Tampa Bay Times, Cher said she thought about televising her wedding, but decided otherwise. “(The thought) crossed my mind, but this wedding is such an intimate thing, so I didn’t want to do anything that would cause negative attention,” she told the publication. “But it was definitely a nice wedding. It could have been on TV.”

Similar to her mother, Cher ended up marrying a Jewish doctor and nearly one year ago, Cher and Jared welcomed their first child together.

Cher Hubsher’s brother was a contestant on ‘The Bachelorette.’

It comes as a surprise to many when they find out that Cher has a brother named Grant Hubsher, who just so happens to also be a reality star (to a certain extent). Grant was a contestant on the Season 13 of The Bachelorette. The season premiered on May 22, 2017, featuring the first Black bachelorette, 31-year-old attorney Rachel Lindsay.

Unfortunately, Grant didn’t get too far on the show — he was one of eight suitors who did not get a rose at the end of the first episode and was sent packing.

It wasn’t exactly Grant’s idea to apply to be on the show as a contestant, but his sister made sure he gave it a go.

“My sister thought that I was single for too long, and her being a fan of The Bachelorette, she thought it might be fun to apply for me to be on it,” Grant said in an interview with Jewish Press. “Then when ABC began calling me, I figured why not, could be fun, or will at least be a unique experience.”

Like his sister, Grant studied at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FLa. He was also part of the Jewish Student Union and the AEPi fraternity. Now 32, Grant is currently an ER doctor at a hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y.
