For Genea at the Hilton Adelaide I spoke to medical and fertility professionals about the future demand for their industry. Young people these days choose the slow life approach. This means they hang out in each stage of the lifecycle for longer. More time in education, maybe a gap year, more focus on career, finding a partner later in life. We start families much later in life. Biology (and demographics) dictates that the demand for fertility services will only go up. We had great discussions on the day about medical and ethical implications for fertility doctors when dealing with ever older clients.
