Crew-2 Mission | Hatch Closing

SpaceX and NASA are targeting no earlier than Monday, November 8 at 2:05 p.m. EST, 7:05 UTC, for Dragon to autonomously undock from the International Space Station and splash down approximately 8 hours later off the coast of Florida.

Aboard the spacecraft will be Crew-2 astronauts Shane Kimbrough, Megan McArthur, Akihiko Hoshide, Thomas Pesquet, who were launched to the space station from historic Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Saturday, April 23, 2021.

After performing a series of departure burns to move away from the space station, Dragon will conduct multiple orbit-lowering maneuvers, jettison the trunk, and re-enter Earth’s atmosphere for a soft-water landing at approximately 10:33 p.m. EST on Monday, November 8.

After Crew-2’s safe return to Earth, SpaceX and NASA will target no earlier than Wednesday, November 10 at 9:03 p.m. EST, or 1:03 UTC on November 11, for Falcon 9’s launch of the Crew-3 mission to the International Space Station.

The webcast of Crew-2’s return to Earth will go live about 2.5 hours prior to undocking.
