On June 4th, 2019, Facebook page Aborted Dreams posted an image macro featuring the cat along with text mimicking someone nervously giving a presentation, garnering over 240 shares and 550 reactions in roughly two years (shown below). It is unknown whether this is a repost from a private page, or the original. On June 8th, it was reposted to Instagram by @obscurecatmemes, garnering over 17,400 likes in a comparable span of time.
On June 26th, YouTuber Kiichan Ch. 狐井アキラ posted a video in which she voices over the image macro, garnering over 9,500 views in roughly two years (shown below).
On July 11th, Tumblr user saddest-cat-hours posted the image macro under the text “Public speaking has got me like..” garnering over 4,000 notes in roughly two years. On July 25th, a now-deleted Redditor posted the image macro to /r/me_irl, garnering over 9,400 upvotes in a comparable span of time.
On September 3rd, Redditor u/Libertarian_Lord posted a new image macro featuring the cat to /r/sadcats depicting a text conversation mimicking how the can might nervously sing “Fly Me To The Moon” (shown below) garnering over 2,400 upvotes in two years (shown below). On January 8th, 2020, Instagram user @sadchonks posted the meme, garnering over 75,900 likes in 63 weeks.
Throughout 2020 and 2021, the image has seen significant use in image macros on Tumblr, often used to convey nervousness or used alongside emotional song lyrics (examples from Tumblr shown below).
