Bridgerton Season 2 Trailer

Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley’s chemistry in the Bridgerton trailer is all I want to talk aboit.

I think it’s safe to say that March 2022 is reserved for one thing and one thing only: Bridgerton Season 2.

After what feels like an eternity between seasons, Bridgerton is finally back with a new season on March 25, and I can only assume it’s all we’ll be talking about for weeks to come.

And today, Netflix dropped a brand-new trailer for the new season, so I’m going to need you to drop everything and watch it:

Based on Julia Quinn’s second book The Viscount Who Loved Me, Season 2 will follow Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) as he tries to find his perfect match. His searching leads him to the Sharma family, and although he has interest in Edwina (Charithra Chandran), he first must win the approval of her protective sister Kate (Simone Ashley).

The new season will also pick up after the events of the Season 1 finale, namely us finding out that Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) is Lady Whistledown.

The trailer gives a perfect tease of Anthony and Kate’s enemies-to-potential-lovers romance and I will be flailing about it for the foreseeable future.

And to add to Anthony and Kate’s perfect sexual tension, we get a glimpse at the iconic Bridgerton family Pall Mall game from The Viscount Who Loved Me in the trailer.

Bridgerton also knows what it’s doing by giving us a Pride & Prejudice–like hand moment between Anthony and Kate. I’m honestly still recovering from the hand moments between Simon and Daphne from Season 1.

I just want to flail about the incredible chemistry between Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley for the foreseeable future because, my god, this was just the trailer and I’m already unwell.

Not only will Anthony’s love life be front and center this season, but Season 2 will also dive deeper into Edmund Bridgerton’s death and how deeply it affected Anthony.

Aside from Anthony, we also get to see Daphne and her son, Penelope and Colin (POLIN, MY HEART), Eloise, and all of our other favorite Bridgerton family members.

And, it looks like Queen Charlotte has decided that it’s time to put an end to Lady Whistledown and she might just be getting a little too close to Penelope’s secret.

Basically, I will be watching this trailer on a loop until Season 2 drops on Netflix later this month. I’m so excited to see Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley steal everyone’s hearts as Anthony and Kate. This is my favorite Bridgerton book and I’m ready to see how Shondaland brings it to life.

Bridgerton Season 2 starts streaming on Netflix on March 25.
