How fascinating is this! Just like today, a curious toddler saw a fresh red clay tile and had to put his foot in it. This tile is ~2,000 years old and was found in present day Vaison-la-Romaine, a small town in southeastern France.

It’s small (literally) things like this that really humanize the past and remind us that we are all connected 🙂
