Nanny Agrees To Meet Her Online Date At Airport, Gets Off Plane To See Him Down On One Knee

Sarah Edwards, a 34-year-old British nanny, was becoming quite cynical about love. After dating her ex for three years, “he turned out to not be capable of treating me right.”

She hoped the next time would be different, and she was ready to take a chance.

Sarah met a man named Paul on the dating app Bumble and the pair instantly clicked. She realized Paul was very similar in that he, too, tried doing things the traditional way and it didn’t work out for him, either.

They spent three hours getting to know one another over their first phone call. Then, after only having spoken for three days, one of them referred to “Married At First Sight” during a text exchange. (That’s the reality television series that marries couples who don’t meet or see each other until they’re standing at the altar.)

“We get along so well… maybe we should get married,” they said.

Despite never meeting face-to-face and only knowing each other for about a week, Edward told Sarah he wanted to meet her at the airport in London, board a plane to Las Vegas together and get married on their very first date.

Sarah knew it was a crazy idea. In fact, she says many of her good friends have gone so far as to “disown” her for it.

But in the video below, watch what happened when Sarah arrived at the Gatwick Airport in London to meet Paul in person.
