Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind was so excited to become a mother. She and Ashton, her boyfriend of seven years, were ready to begin the next chapter of their lives with their baby girl.
But Savanna’s life was taken just one month before her due date.
On August 19, 2017, Savanna was invited over to her neighbor’s apartment. Brooke Crews lived on the third floor of the same building where Savanna lived in Fargo, North Dakoka.
Brooke allegedly invited the pregnant woman to her apartment under false pretenses. She reportedly asked Savanna if she would model a dress she’d just sewn, and Savanna obliged.
It was all part of the neighbor’s deadly plan. Savanna never returned home that evening.
Days later, police raided Crews’ apartment. They were shocked and horrified to find Savanna’s newborn baby inside, miraculously alive and breathing.
Savanna’s lifeless body was eventually found floating in a river. Crews and her boyfriend were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder. She was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, and now the horrifying truth has emerged.
One year later, there is a light through all the darkness: Baby Haisley Jo, who is now being called a “miracle baby.”
