Mom Who Calls Her Frizzy Hair A ‘Big Mess’ Gives Stylist Free Reign To Transform Her On TV

Eleni, a wife and mother from New York, grew sick and tired of her long, frizzy hair — which she calls a “big mess.”

Her hair routine doesn’t really go past throwing it up into a ponytail, simply because it’s too frizzy and unruly to manage. “On the good days, the curls are very pretty, but those days are very few,” she told Rachael Ray.

Eleni has avoided hair salons at all costs and usually takes care of it all by herself. She stopped using products and blowdryers a long time ago.

“I cut my own hair, usually with whatever scissors are lying around,” she says. “I just put it in a high ponytail, chop the ends and call it a day.”

Eleni has been married for 17 years and the couple have one child together. While her husband only needs about five minutes to get ready to go out, Eleni says she can spend an hour on her hair and make little-to-no progress.

Still, she has never had the desire to cut her long locks because she feels longer hair makes her appear taller and slimmer.

In the clip below, Eleni puts her trust into an expert for the first time in many, many years.

Now, she says he smooth and silky hair is “like magic.” More importantly, the transformation has inspired her to take more time to look and feel better.
