Being a parent is not easy, and making mistakes from time to time is 100% understandable. But some parenting mistakes are just so egregious that it’s almost hard to believe they’re real.
A mother in Dixon, Illinois was arrested for driving with an inflatable pool on top of her car — with her two daughters inside of it.
Jennifer A. Janus Yeager went to a friend’s house to blow up her inflatable pool. Then she headed back home to take the pool to her own yard. Obviously, transporting the inflated pool from house to house was not easy.
Apparently, she decided that the best way to transport the pool was to put it on top of the car, but she still had a dilemma. How would she keep the pool in place?
Well, by using her two daughters to hold it down, of course! The two girls plopped inside, and Jennifer went on her way.
But she never made it home. A concerned citizen spotted Jennifer driving with the pool and her daughters on top of the car, and they called the police.
Jennifer is now facing two counts of endangering the life or health of a child, two counts of reckless conduct, and failure to secure a passenger between 8 and 16.
She was taken to county jail, but released after posting bond. It’s safe to say that her kids will never let her live this down.
