Missouri Nurse Quits Job, Leaves Her Life Behind To Help Overwhelmed Hospitals In New York

Aneisha Ford always dreamt of one day being a nurse and helping others. At 24, she has made her dream come true.

Until recently, Aneisha worked at St. Luke’s on the Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri. Then one day, in the midst of the pandemic, the young nurse and recent college graduate heard about another opportunity — and it meant helping even more people.

With hospitals in New York jam-packed with COVID-19 patients, resources were growing scarce and staff members were needed more than ever before.

Aneisha was faced with the decision to stay in Kansas City, or travel to New York to work at the crowded hospitals. The latter meant she had to quit her job, get on a plane and live in a hotel for the duration of her time up north. Oh yea… she’s also have to leave her dogs and fiancé behind, and in the middle of their wedding planning.

Taking a leave of absence from her job at St. Luke’s was not really possible.

In the midst of some soul-searching, Aneisha got in her car to go to work and heard a Christian song playing on the radio. One lyric in particular spoke to her in that very moment: Fear doesn’t stand a chance if I stand in your love.

She made up her mind, right there on the spot.

Watch the video below to meet Aneisha and see why she has no regrets about her powerful decision.
