Moms often do a lot of work without getting any of the credit. From dealing with tantrums, to serving as the personal chauffer to their children and their many extracurriculars, it can be hard for moms to make time for themselves. Sometimes, people don’t realize the work until becoming parents themselves.
LeBron James has seemed to have created a great family life while off the court. He has three children with his high school sweetheart, Savannah James. And, there’s a good chance that that was all modeled after his mom. Gloria Marie James is currently 52, and has a strong bond with her son.
It could be due to the fact that she had him while she was very young. Gloria was only 16 when LeBron was born. She had a hard time growing up, and wasn’t able to finish high school. Unfortunately, she had to raise her son on her own — his father was never in the picture. At the age of 24, she made one of the ultimate sacrifices. She sent LeBron to live with another family while trying to make ends meet.
However, that decision was really beneficial. LeBron stayed with his football coach, Frank Walker. Frank was the one who, eventually, would lead LeBron to love basketball.
