Keira Knightley stepped onto the red carpet to celebrate the premiere of her new film. The 34-year-old actress wore a white midi-dress with embroidered flowers and puffy sleeves, paired with gold strappy high-heeled sandals to celebrate the release of Official Secrets in London. She was all smiles as her soft curls framed her face while she posed for photos with fans and signed autographs.
The appearance comes after Keira and husband James Righton quietly welcomed their second child. The couple hasn’t released any details on the child’s birth. The last time Keira was seen was in May, when she debuted her bump without comment at a Chanel J12 cocktail party in Paris. The new bundle of joy joins the couple’s 4-year-old daughter, Edie.
Keira spoke about motherhood earlier this year during a sit-down with Balance. During the interview, she noted that women don’t get enough credit “for the physical and emotional marathon they go through when becoming a mother.”
She also acknowledged that despite her privilege and advantages, being a working mother is still hard. “I come from a place of amazing privilege. I have an incredible support system; I’ve been unbelievably lucky in my career; I can afford good childcare, and yet I still find it really [expletive] difficult,” she explained, adding that it “doesn’t mean I don’t love my kid.”
