I Completed A Spring Bucket List To Take Advantage Of The Warm Weather And Great Outdoors

When it comes to spring and all of the uplifting aspects that come along with the season, renowned artist Emily Carr once said, “Oh, Spring! I want to go out and feel you and get inspiration. My old things seem dead. I want fresh contacts, more vital searching.” The late actor Robin Williams shared a different, yet similarly inspired sentiment about the enlivening time of year when he said, “Spring is nature’s way of saying, ‘Let’s Party!’”

Since I live in a place that experiences four extreme seasons — and ridiculously long, cold, and snowy winters — I tend to agree that spring is a time to look forward to for various reasons. Along with the warmer weather and days full of sunshine, there are also new leaves on the trees and flowers popping up out of the ground. New baby bunnies hop around my neighborhood and birds sing long into evenings that tend to end with lilac-colored skies.

And while I adore this time of year, the span between the beginning of March and the end of May can be rather busy, which sometimes means that summer can creep up on me before I’ve truly enjoyed spring. So in order to indulge in everything the season has to offer, I decided that this year I would complete a spring bucket list.

By coming up with a list of a few key things that I want to do before the season was over, I would be sure not to miss out on any of my favorite seasonal activities — and I wouldn’t have any regrets about wasting my spring days when summer rolled around!

Excited about the possibilities, I began coming up with ideas for activities and outings as well as general experiences that would make me happy and were perfect for the warm, sunny weather (as well as the rainy days).

Take a look below to see how I did while checking off items on my spring bucket list and perhaps even get inspired to complete your own.
