Fanatiz is strictly a sports channel, featuring the programming on BeIn Sports, Gol TV, and TyC Sports. La Liga

Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and Sevilla are among the top draws in Spain’s top league, and the twice-a-season El Clasico between Barca and Real is one of the highest-drawing matches in all of soccer whenever it occurs. If you want to see stars in action, starting with Barcelona’s formidable front line of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Antoine Griezmann, BeIN Sports is your destination. The network carries La Liga exclusively in the U.S. and reserves the legendary broadcast team of Phil Schoen and Ray Hudson for its biggest matches.

Ligue 1

Though most casual soccer fans know Ligue 1 as the home of perennial Champions League entrants PSG, it offers highly-entertaining soccer with some well-put-together rosters. In recent years, AS Monaco, Nice, and Lille have fielded Champions League teams, while Olympique de Marseilles remains strong and appears on a trajectory to make Europe’s big stage in 2020. If you’re looking to see Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Dario Benedetto, Renato Sanches, and American rising star Timothy Weah in action, Ligue 1 has you covered.

Serie A

Thanks to Fanatiz’s new Club Italia package, the league where Cristiano Ronaldo, Romelu Lukaku, Mario Balotelli, and Dries Mertens ply their trade is available on the platform. RAI Italia covers Serie A, Italy’s top-flight league. Though Juventus has won a string of titles and is dominant in the league, Lukaku’s made Inter Milan a force to be reckoned with of late. Napoli, the club where Diego Maradona gained worldwide fame, is consistently strong and fun to watch. Atalanta’s been a surprising team over the last two seasons. And though AC Milan’s been a little down in the soccer department of late, it’s a global brand helped by Jay Z’s Roc Nation recently aligning with it.

Copa Libertadores

This is essentially the South American version of the Champions League. This tournament involving the top club teams in South America runs nearly the full calendar year, and has produced some memorable finals of late. In 2019, it was up-and-coming star Gabigol bringing Flamengo back to victory with two extremely late goals (and a red card at the death) over 2018 victors River Plate. The 2018 edition put the fierce River-Boca Juniors rivalry on the global stage. Fan violence (against players!) was so pronounced that the second leg of the final had to be moved to Madrid—ironic since the tournament is named for those who liberated the continent from Spanish and Portuguese rule. The 2018 debacle led organizers to change the final from a two-leg home-and-home format to a single-match, neutral-site, winner-take-all affair.

Brasileirão

Everyone who follows soccer knows about Brazil’s national team, but not as many fans know about the Brasileirão. Teams like Palmeiras, Santos, Corinthians, and Flamengo have made their mark on both global cup competitions and the Copa Libertadores. In addition to Gabigol, the league features the likes of Éverton, Gabriel Veron, and Gerson—all with the potential to star for European teams in the coming years.

Turkish Super Lig

Typically, BeIN’s coverage of this league—with some of the most demonstrative, passionate fans in the world—gravitate around Istanbul’s trio of top teams. Galatasaray is perhaps the most recognizable name and tends to go more international in its acquisitions; it’s most recent big-splash signing was Colombian legend Radamel Falcao. Fenerbahce is considered the more “working-class” alternative to “high-falutin’” Galatasaray; it currently features Max Kruse and Victor Moses in key roles. Besiktas’s roster includes recent American one-time switch Tyler Boyd.

Superliga Argentina

The crown jewel of Buenos Aires-based TyC Sports is Argentina’s top-tier league. The Superliga includes River Plate and Boca Juniors, the implacable Buenos Aires-based rivals who face off in one of the world’s highest-profile derbies. While the top Argentine players in the world typically graduate to the best leagues in Europe, and while some are finding their way to MLS, many begin their careers with one of the top-tier teams in the Superliga. The current U-23 roster includes players from Superliga teams like Newell’s Old Boys, Godoy Cruz, and Estudiantes.

Boca Juniors and Real Madrid content

In March 2020, Fanatiz added some content for fans of two of the world’s most popular club team.

Boca Juniors documentary

This documentary spotlights the legendary Buenos Aires club that has featured the likes of Diego Maradona, Carlos Tevez, and Juan Roman Riquelme through its history. It’s in 3D, promising to put viewers in the midst of the action … perhaps making them feel like they’re in La Bombonera and registering a deep dislike for anyone in red and white. Check out the trailer below.

Classic Real Madrid matches

For Los Blancos fans, this is a chance to catch up on some history of one of the planet’s most popular teams. Real Madrid TV is only available to stream in the U.S. via Fanatiz, so it’s already a must for their fans, but now, they can relive great moments from past Champions League matches and El Clasicos.
