Gwyneth Paltrow Is ‘Conflicted’ About Botox But ‘I Reserve The Right To Have A Face Lift’

Gwyneth Paltrow is the kind of person that you either love to love or love to hate, it seems. However you feel about her, the actress and lifestyle ambassador seems to be unable to make a move or comment without adding fuel to the fire.

She recently sat down with Jenna Lyons for Vanity Fair to discuss aging, wellness, and, of course, her lifestyle website Goop. The conversation took a turn toward the unexpected when the two began speaking about plastic surgery and Botox.

“I mean there’s nothing like high def TV to make you rethink your lack of, you know, Botox,” Gwyneth said. “We’re living in a time where there are all these amazing things that are available to women who are aging and I’m just not sure how I feel about it yet. I’ve tried like little things here and there but I haven’t felt comfortable really pursuing it.”

Gwyneth kept going, noting that “I reserve the right to do it or have a facelift or whatever at some point; I’m not saying I wouldn’t but I think there is a part of me that feels conflicted on some level about it.”

As famous women age, they are often repeatedly asked about plastic surgery and other body alterations in a way that their male counterparts are not, which has to be exhausting. This isn’t the first time Gwyneth has commented on the topic. Earlier this year she admitted to trying Botox before, but not liking that it made her look “unnatural.”

In addition to Goop, Gwyneth can currently be seen on The Politician, which her husband co-created.
