Erykah Badu has always been a one-of-a-kind person. Erykah, who is largely known for her hit singles “On & On” and “Bag Lady,” is also a licensed midwife… and now an incense entrepreneur.
Erykah has announced that her new shop, Badu World Market, will soon sell incense that is made from her used underwear. She’ll be calling the product “Badu’s [Expletive].”
She explained to People that “There’s an urban legend that my [expletive] changes men. The men that I fall in love with, and fall in love with me, change jobs and lives.”
So now Erykah wants to take that personal brand of magic and spread it around to anyone and everyone who might want to partake. The process of creating the incense was, as you might imagine, quite personal.
“I took lots of pairs of my panties, cut them up into little pieces and burned them. Even the ash is part of it.”
