Drew Barrymore is coming to daytime TV! The actress recently announced she will be heading her own talk show, set to debut in the fall of 2020.
“It is beyond my wildest dreams to have this opportunity for a daily talk show,” She said in an official statement. “I’m truly thrilled and honored to be creating this show with CBS.”
CBS is looking forward to bringing “a breath of fresh air” with this addition.
Drew initially pitched the idea of a daytime talk show to Warner Bros. in 2016, but the idea never truly gelled. Hopefully, this new daytime show will give fans of the recently cancelled Santa Clara Diet the dose of Drew they’ve been missing.
Her show is one of a handful of projects the actress, producer, and designer currently has up her sleeve. In recent months, Drew has produced TLC’s Rattled, VH1’s Tough Love, and is also signed on as a producer of the upcoming Charlie’s Angels reboot, due in theaters November 15.
