On July 6, 2019, Cameron Boyce passed away in his sleep after a seizure at the age of 20. His family has since confirmed he had epilepsy.
The beloved Disney star is now being mourned by his millions of fans and the many co-stars with whom he had worked. Celebrities like Adam Sandler and Salma Hayak have expressed their shock and sadness on social media.
Dove Cameron was one of Cameron’s best friends. The 23-year-old “Riverdale” actress starred in all three installments of Disney’s massively popular “Descendants” movies. The cast was prepping to promote the third film of the series when Cameron suddenly passed away.
Three days after his death, Dove gathered the strength to share a personal letter about her dear friend. The black-and-white Instagram video has since been circulating beyond her 27.5 million followers.
The young actress fought through her emotions while reading her message aloud. She called Cameron her “Earth Angel” who helped her navigate through eating disorders, toxic relationships and “endless breakdowns.”
“The last 72 hours have felt like two weeks and I have spent them trying to make my thoughts and feeling into words,” she began.
