Y’all ORHAN is going to be 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥… So HYPED for his arc … Dare I say he stole the show !!! His rivalry with Germiyanid Bey oglu Mehmet has blockbuster potential! The reintroduction of Holofira was also nice. It’s going to be interesting seeing her arc with Orhan unfold.
Alaadin will also be a major force to be reckoned with, destined to cross paths with the new Gonca hatun, also daughter of Germiyanid Bey.
It’s the end of Seljuks and the era of competing Beylics begins this season. Mehmet Bozdag has effectively laid the platform for early Osmanli politics in that time whereby they refrained from attacking neighboring Beylics and chose to focus solely on war against Byzantium. The re-emergence of Beys from the major Beylics of the time besides Osmanlis is a welcome sight after they had gone into the background midway through previous season. The Germiyanids and Karamanids getting special mention is intentional with the former being set up as the internal rival to the rising power of Osmanlis.
Bala hatun has tuberculosis and Halime has passed away yikes !!! Foreshadowing the beginning of the end! 🥹
Meanwhile in Bala’s absence, Malhun hatun means business and is officially devlet ana!
Cerkutay has been taken a prisoner from an expedition and is in bad shape, how will he recover and will he?
Introduction of potential Akinci Beys (irregular Osmanli warriors) is also intriguing with Osman Bey trying to recruit them to kickstart this famous military tradition of Osmanlis.
Yunus Emre’s presence was also delightful, look forward to more of him as the new voice of guidance for our heroes.
With Sultan Mesud having passed on the torch officially to Osman Bey this sets up the final season of the show perfectly with conquest of Bursa also on the horizon. Not to mention Osman Bey is inevitably going to figure out the game being played against him by both Germiyanids and the rogue Byzantine commander from the shadows. We’re in for an EPIC final season and I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds! Bring on more !!!
