Frankie has been working as a character actor ever since he finished high school. He’s had small roles in tons of television shows and movies, from “As The World Turns” to “Saturday Night Fever.”
Frankie, 65, now lives in New York City. After finding himself stuck in both a style and career rut, he realized those two aspects of his life are probably connected.
Since he hadn’t cut his hair in over five years, his hair became as long as his arm span. His beard became thick and unruly, and his wardrobe was lacking. He normally just wears a flannel shirt and a pair of ill-fitting jeans.
Because of his super-long hair and beard, Frankie began getting typecast for certain roles.”Little by little, I went from being a young character type to this old, creepy type,” he told the producers at “The Rachael Ray Show.”
Finally, Frankie’s aunt pushed him to undergo a drastic makeover… something that would break him out of the pigeonhole and help him land other types of acting jobs.
