In the first Overwatch, the closest stat to MIT was damage blocked, which, as it sounds, simply measures the amount of damage you have blocked. MIT is a little different, since it doesn’t only factor in shields commonly used by the tank class blocking damage but also buffs and damage negation abilities for their damage negation.
