Yesterday marked 74 years since the guardian of Madīnah, the lion of the desert, ‘Umar Fakhr ud-Dīn Pāshā left this world. He was an Ottoman career officer, who served as the commander of the Ottoman Army and governor of Madīnah from 1916 to 1919.

When the Muslim Ummah was betrayed by traitors who sided with the west to destroy the Ottoman Caliphate, not only did Fakhr ud-Dīn Pāshā defend the blessed city of Madīnah with his army for over two years (until forced to surrender). But he also brought the Holy Relics of the Prophet ﷺ and other revered figures in Islamic history back to Istanbul, so today faithful believers from all over the world can view and derive Barakah from them.

Had he not done this, the al-Sa’ūd dynasty would’ve destroyed them, just like they’ve already finished most of the Islamic heritage in Makkah and Madīnah. By Allāh we love Fakhr ud-Dīn Pāshā, for he loved and defended the city of our Beloved Prophet ﷺ.

May Allāh raise his status and grant him the company of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ in Paradise. Even if the Ottomans die, their souls shall always await at the blessed Rawdah of Rasūlullāh ﷺ.
