World War 2 in the Mediterranean, 1941-1944.
The Mediterranean was a major stake in the Second World War. The Italian defeats, in 1940, in Greece and in North Africa oblige Germany to intervene. The English victory at El-Alamein and the Allied landing in North Africa (1942) trigger the reconquest.
