2. What did you think?:
“I actually bought a tube of Black Honey back in 2017 because it was recommended on the Strategist, so it’s funny to me that it’s back thanks to TikTok. I remember liking it then, but I think I used it up after a few years — and then the pandemic hit, and my makeup routine went from pretty minimal to nonexistent.
I haven’t seen enough people wear it to be 100% sure that it looks good on everyone, but I like it on me! And because it’s fairly sheer, it seems like it mostly just builds on your natural lip color, which would make it pretty universal. The $20 price tag also feels fair to me. It might be a few dollars more expensive than some similar products I’ve bought before, but the packaging feels high-quality, and I think the lipstick will last me a while.”
3. Would you wear it again?:
“Totally! I would wear it just by itself as I did in the test, probably at nighttime, even though it’s definitely a low-key color. I just don’t wear lipstick that often, so anything that’s not incredibly neutral feels more like a going-out thing for me personally. And it’s buildable, so I think I would apply a few more coats to get a slightly bolder color if I was going out.”
4. Final thoughts:
“This is 100% my kind of makeup, in that it’s hard to mess up and it’s easily buildable.”
