In pics from the party, which appeared to feature a rodeo theme, some guests could be seen in what appeared to be MAGA-style hats that said “Make 60 Great Again” and at least one “Blue Lives Matter” shirt.

Amid the backlash, Sydney posted a tweet saying that the celebration was completely “innocent.”
“You guys this is wild,” she wrote. “An innocent celebration for my moms milestone 60th birthday has turned into an absurd political statement, which was not the intention. Please stop making assumptions. Much love to everyone and Happy Birthday Mom!”
