Sultan Alaadin Kayqubad III became the Sultan of the Seljuk Sultanate of Rum at the young age of 16. As sultan, he was a vassal of the Mongols and exercised no real power.

Due to his young age and zero experience, he became unsuccessful in maintaining peace & justice in the state.

His efforts to resist the Mongols and maintain the integrity of his empire were ultimately unsuccessful.

During the last years of his reign, he made some terrible decisions that led Muslims to demand a new Sultan.
