Harry explained that not only has he felt closest to his mother, the late Princess Diana, while on the continent, but it’s also where he realized he would marry Meghan.

Looking back on the couple’s relationship, their first trip to Africa, when Harry seemingly made his realization, came after they had gone on just a few dates together.

Harry previously revealed that the couple traveled to Botswana together, where they got to know each other while camping under the stars.

“I managed to persuade her to come and join me in Botswana. We camped out with each other under the stars. She came and joined me for five days out there, which was absolutely fantastic,” Harry said.

He added, “We were really by ourselves, which was crucial to me to make sure that we had a chance to know each other.”
