20 Justin Timberlake Ruin The Tour Memes

According to the arrest report, obtained by People, Justin had been stopped after he allegedly passed a stop sign and deviated from his lane. The officer said they deemed the singer intoxicated because his “eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot, and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests.”

‘True Detective’ Season 5: Everything To Know About HBO’s Speedy Renewal Of The Saga After ‘Night Country’

Nobody would ever dispute that True Detective‘s first season will always be the apex of the series. Out of the what has followed in the franchise, however, Night Country does a more than respectable job of honoring the original investigative team as portrayed by Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey. The fourth season, starring Jodie Foster and Kali Reis, earns that status with or without that semi-controversial easter egg and also received the highest viewership in the entire anthology series.

As a result, HBO did not hesitate to renew True Detective for a fifth season while retaining Night Country showrunner, director, and writer Issa López. What can we expect? Let’s feel out the clues so far.

The only absolutely certainty, beyond López writing, directing, and show running again, is that original series creator Nic Pizzolatto will strongly dislike what materializes. And when that happens, we will likely see the titular detectives of the season calling his “sh*t” out. Beyond that, we know that in an HBO press release López declared that she was thrilled that “HBO trusted my vision all the way.” For what’s to come, the premium cable network greenlit her “idea of bringing to life a new incarnation of True Detective.”

Those words suggest that this will, as with the rest of the anthology series, move into a new chapter with different detectives (say goodbye to Danvers and Navarro) in a different location, so that they can take on a new unsolved case. The series has already moved from Louisiana to California to Arkansas and then Alaska amid several decades, so where to next? There’s technically no reason why this series couldn’t go international, but that might be a bit too far fetched. López has not dropped any hints on there “where” or “when,” so we can only assume that she could lean even further into the mystical and/or preternatural aspects of this franchise again.

While recently speaking to the Playlist, López revealed that she has moved past the larger-picture aspect of creating the season’s story and is now onto “writing episodes.” Further, she added that HBO (despite a swift renewal) isn’t pushing for the series to be quickly finished, “Which is so beautiful as a writer because then you can really take care to get there. There’s no rush.”

Jodie Foster and Kali Reis have not signaled their involvement in the next volume, which shouldn’t be much of a surprise, since this anthology series has always switched up the lead detectives with each season.

Release Date

Since Issa López has admitted that HBO is in “no rush” to push this series live before it’s truly ready, it sure sounds like 2026 will be the soonest that this season will surface.

Since film hasn’t started rolling yet, no hope for a trailer exists yet. That provides opportunity for a blast from the past in this “Making True Detective – Season One” clip as aired on Sky TV:

Neighbor Chopped Off This Guy’s Plants Claiming Them To Be On His Property, So The Guy Called the Cops And The Neighbor Got Fined And Lost His Backyard

Source: Reddit/Malicious compliance/pexels/Tanner Vote

It’s INSANE how people refuse to see their mistakes and will do anything to throw blame at you.

This person’s neighbor claimed that they were intruding his property and created a huge mess.

Guess karma had this person’s back.

Let’s check out the full story!

This was a long time ago but I remember it clearly.

We moved in to a community with tight space in between our house and our neighbors, and we didn’t like them being able to see into our kitchen.

We put up a bunch of plants, costing thousands but my parents thought it would be worth it.

Uh oh..

A week later my parents awoke to the plants completely chopped down.

My father was furious, and marched down to our neighbors house. He told my father the plants were on his property line, therefor he had total right to take them down.

They got in an argument

He warned that if anything were to go on his property again, he would report us to the authorities immediately.

Later that day my father called the company that put in the plants, and with the warranty we could have them replanted next week for no charge.

We made sure there was no way it was on our neighbors property.

And then the unexpected happened..

However a few days later we caught him chopping them down at 2am.

We called the police upon obstruction of property, and after a chat with my neighbor he decided to call a professional and mark his property line.

My father agreed.

A few days later I got home to find orange tape in my neighbors yard.

The most absurd thing!

Apparently, his fence was 11 feet over our property line! We watched as he took down his fence, completely furious.

Within the next month we were enjoying our new space and privacy in our backyard, and my neighbor ended up losing 1/4th of his backyard.

Karma has its way.

My neighbor ended up having to pay almost 10k for the destruction of our property, and we got to plant our plants again.

Yikes! The neighbor probably wasn’t expecting that!

He got what he deserved for being so sneaky.

Let’s check out what folks on Reddit think about this story.

‘I had canker sores regularly my whole life’: Expert says Crest toothpaste causes canker sores

If you’ve been periodically rocking canker sores on your inner lips, then it might have to do with the kind of toothpaste you’re using.

Yes, it seems unfair that you, being a responsible oral caregiver, would be punished with an inner mouth lesion just for doing your due mouth-cleaning diligence.

However, TikTok account Twice Oral Wellness (@twiceoralwellness) accused toothpaste manufacturers, like Crest, of knowingly putting a detergent in its products that are linked to canker sores.

“All right if you’ve ever had a canker sore or if you have one right now, you have to listen up. What’s a canker sore? Well, it looks like this,” the TikToker says as he points to a section of a green-screened video showing a close-up photo of a canker sore.

“Canker sores can be caused from a long list of reasons, but one of the biggest ways that people don’t realize is from an ingredient in your toothpaste,” he claims. “If you turn your toothpaste over look at the ingredient list and look for an ingredient and see if they have sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS).”

At this point in the video, another green screen image pops up for viewers to see: A package for Crest toothpaste and a list of different ingredients it contains.

“SLS is an irritant that causes canker sores. You gotta think twice switch to an SLS-free toothpaste hit in the link in our bio,” he says to close out the video.

Is it true?

According to Seaglass Dental Care, SLS can contribute to the production of canker sores in one’s mouth, calling the detergent “one of the most common culprits behind toothpaste-induced mouth sores. So why do toothpaste manufacturers put this agent inside of its products?

@twiceoralwellness Replying to @Michael Bennett you can be canker sore free by switching to our SLS free toothpaste #cankersore #sulfatefree #twicetoothpaste #oralwellness #walmartfinds ♬ original sound – Twice Oral Wellness

Well, it’s because this detergent is responsible for creating the lathering effect: “SLS is a detergent that is added to toothpaste to make it foam and create that satisfying lather,” Seaglass Dental writes.

However, this effect, according to the dental entity, comes at a great price: “However, SLS can be harsh on the delicate tissues inside your mouth, causing irritation and inflammation that can lead to canker sores.”

It doesn’t just hurt one’s mouth, either. According to the outlet, “SLS is also a known skin irritant and has been linked to other health issues, such as skin allergies and eczema.” The same piece that decried the oral evils of SLS also said there’s another agent commonly found in toothpaste that could be wrecking your gums: Propylene Glycol.

According to this list of SLS-free toothpaste posted by Amazon, several popular brands sport toothpaste devoid of SLS. Sensodyne, Tom’s, Arm & Hammer Essentials, Hello, Verve, Burt’s Bees Purely White, Biotene, David’s…there are options for consumers to choose from that run the gamut of different price ranges.

Crest has penned on its website that every single variant of the toothpaste it produces actually comes packed with SLS, but the brand contends that it’s safe to use and calls its products safe to use: “All versions of Crest toothpaste contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS). While we’re aware of the rumors circulating on the internet, SLS/SLES is safe in consumer products when used as directed. These supposed safety concerns stem from some misquoted research and have no scientific basis. In fact, a search of scientific literature found nothing supporting these allegations. We’ve thoroughly tested our products to make sure they’re safe.”

Someone shared their own anecdote about their decision to switch from SLS toothpaste to products not containing the detergent: “This is TRUTH! once I converted to SLS free toothpaste my life changed. No more sores.!”

Sexyy Red Recreated The Infamous Clinton–Lewinsky Scandal For Her Latest Video Teaser

Getty Image

Given the upcoming presidential election, politics are on the top of most Americans minds and the includes Sexyy Red. The “U My Everything” rapper has gone on the record to share her support for former President Donald Trump (then seemingly walked it back).

But it appears for her forthcoming music video, Sexyy Red pulled inspiration from another politician. Yesterday (June 21), she took her official X (formerly Twitter) page to post a Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky-inspired teaser for the next In Sexyy We Trust visual.

In the clip, Sexyy Red put her own spin on the infamous sexual contact scandal that rocked the 1990s. “I’m doin dis for our ancestors 😂,” she wrote.

Despite the mock Oval Office setup, the faux presidential seals plastered everywhere, and a framed photograph of Clinton on a nearby table, some users online weren’t able to catch the references.

“Who da hell is this,” wrote one user.

Others slammed Sexyy Red for claiming her actions in honor of Black suffrage. “You’re moving us backwards, Ms. Redd,” penned one user.

Monica Lewinsky hasn’t issued a response yet. However, this isn’t her first time being referenced by a musician—most notably on Beyoncé’s song “Partition.” Lewinsky responded then, and she likely will respond now.

His Teacher Enjoyed Bullying Children, So On His Last Day He Pulled A Prank That Cost Her A Decent Amount Of Money

Source: Shutterstock/Reddit

In every profession, you’ll find people who are in it for the wrong reasons.

Too many times, it’s because they enjoy having power over one group of people or another.

When it’s a teacher, it can seem especially awful, because whether you’re the kid or the parent of the kid, no one likes to be mistreated by someone supposed to support you.

That’s exactly the situation this kid found himself in, but don’t worry.

He managed to get some pretty sweet revenge for a 5yo.

I was a bright child for my age IMHO, although an outcast with only a couple of friends.

A teacher in my 5th grade (early 1990s) didn’t like the fact I was different and more work than her other students, turns out later I had something there wasn’t a name for yet aspergers.

The teacher was really getting under his skin.

I learned another phrase back then whe I was explaining to my mum that I was sent to time out as soon as I walked in the door most days and could count past 1000 before she let me out.

My mother explained to me that it sounded like the teacher was “scape goating” me from what I described happening at school.

She had a few talks with the teacher and the principal and nothing came of it, it was a year of absolute misery in the end well almost entirely.

Then, he realized he was going to leave and it was time for revenge.

At the end of the year I got my revenge on let’s call her, miss Geoffories.

So I was an army brat and my fam was moving at the end of that year so I thought it was my last day at that school and I wouldn’t be coming back.

Time for some cold vengeance.

I had been wanting revenge for a long time so I had put in quite a lot of planning.

His mom must have really wanted to look the other day.

About halfway through that year I had earned many bookclub rewards that were in fashion at the time.

One such reward was a small yellow book. I forget what it was called I exchanged some kind of points for it and I felt it well earned at the time anyway. In this book was a recipe for slime,

If I remember correctly it was how I learnt of cornstarch and borax. It sparked an interest in chemistry for me anyway.

We had all the ingredients at home (never happend again) and the night before I mixed up a batch of this slime about 3kg or so if I recall.

I layed out a layer of gladwrap into a lunchbox and pored in the slime that I had deliberately made mucus runny and green.

I put the lunchbox with the slime block into the freezer and left it overnight.

The next morning I triple gladwrapped the green ice cube and stuck it into my bag with some ice bricks.

I don’t think my mother knew what I was upto.

I imagine he held his breath the whole time.

After lunch that day the class was combined with the neighbouring classroom and we all sat together and sung or some nonsense.

I was always forced to sit up the front so that the teacher could keep an eye on me.

It wasn’t abnormal therefor for me to be sitting at the teachers feat where I strategically placed my bag leaning up aginst her desk between the class of onlookers and the teachers brown leather handbag….

I was as usual fidgety so me squirming and looking around the room wasn’t abnormal and I watched, none of the kids were paying attention or looking as I unzipped her bag and the side of mine, reached inside and pulled out the big green slightly defrosting silicone sausage size slime ball.

The gladwrap was just left behind in the wrapper and I placed the log into the bag with my heart in my mouth and adrenalin pumping. I could hear my blood pumping in my ears as I zipped it back up.

I glanced up and the teacher was desperately trying to keep the kids focused on her she hadnt looked down.

I then over the rest of that lesson slowly but shuffled further towards the door.

The bell went at the end of the day and I went home with a grin.

Then, he actually got to revel in the payoff.

The trouble started as soon as I got home, my parents expected there had been a mixup and it was infact TOMORROW that was now my last day at that school.

I wanted the day off did what I could but there was no way out of it I had to go back the next day.

Well I was a bit afraid because my parents watched true crime but I needn’t have been. First thing in the morning after line-up for roll call was a small assembly between the two classrooms again.

Another teacher came into the meeting that day and explained that our teachers mobile phone that was in those days deliberately built to be susceptible to water and were ridiculously expensive and bulky had been ruined by someone putting ‘Something’ in her bag.

I didn’t smile I remained deadpan because in the past I had leaned what gave things away to adults.

I just looked away out the window and tried not to laugh or smile when they told the class that she had been up at night crying and that it was one of her special things etc.

Has this woman met kids?

The teacher then had to step in and give a small appeal to the class for the kid to own up (yeah right).

She said she had reached into the bag and pulled out her phone covered in the slime and cried when it wouldn’t work.

She explained it was a expensive bag and that people work hard for there things, I stared deadpan at her and pretend I was falling asleep.

At lunch another teacher approached me, I liked this teacher a lot we got along well she got me into computers.

She came to me.and flat out asked as I knew she would (I knew whe had been put up to it but wouldn’t have been able to articulate that fact back then).

If I was the kid who had put something into miss Geoffories handbag.

I lied through my teeth to her and said no, knowing she wouldn’t press me on it past the question itself.

She then explained to me that it was allays a bad idea to burn bridges because you never know when you might want that bridge again, I didn’t understand the metaphor until she explained for a little while longer.

then I thought to myself, yeah I am leaving this whole river behind I still face no consequences for it so I think this teacher isn’t telling me the truth.

Sweet revenge.

Monday after the holiday break I started at a school hundreds of KM away (canbera vs syd) and never saw that teacher again however I still kept my few loyal friends who went to my old school (To this day).

The same teacher apparently at the beginning of the next year had chose one of my friends D to pick on after I was gone.

She sent him to time out when he walked in the first morning the same thing she had done to me, only his mother who was recounting this to mine said “Sorry I am not like you, I cornered her against a wall that afternoon and threatened her”

they laughed and funnily enough she stopped her nonsense after that not only with my friend but seemed to pull her head in and didn’t do it to anyone else.

Some bridges are worth burning.

I hope Reddit agrees!

‘Stand your ground’: Car-buying expert shows how to answer the 5 questions every dealership will ask you ‘like a pro’

Car-buying expert shows how to answer the 5 questions every dealership will ask you ‘like a pro’

“Lucius, I’m playing this one pretty close to the chest.” It’s a line that Bruce Wayne gives Lucius Fox in The Dark Knight after hatching his plot to fight Joker once and for all for the soul of Gotham.

It’s also a good piece of advice whenever you’re negotiating for a new vehicle, according to car buying expert Billy (@billythecarkid), who the Daily Dot has covered before. In a previous video, he urged folks to never negotiate for a vehicle in person at a dealership, and he echoes this piece of advice, along with five main questions he says every single dealership will ask customers.

He begins, “Today I’m gonna tackle the five questions all dealership salespeople ask everybody who comes to the door and I’m gonna teach you to answer them like a pro.”

1. ‘When Can you Come in?’

Billy says that the end goal of any car dealership is to get customers to come in before they’ve done their due diligence. This way they can glean as much information from you as possible. Then, they place you into signing on the dotted line for a car with a price that benefits them but doesn’t necessarily give you the best bang for your buck.

“Minutes after they verify the vehicle,” he says, “they’re going to hound you about coming in for a test drive and looking at it in person and doing everything in person for that matter.”

Billy says this is where you need to be strong. “Let them know that we’re just window shopping right now and we’ll let them know when we get to that next step,” he shares.

2. ‘Do you have a trade-in?’

According to Billy, the second-most commonly asked question pertains to the appraisal of a trade-in you may have. You’ll almost always get more money if you sell your car privately to another person, or, as Billy also suggests, checking rates from CarMax and Carvana as good options to try.

“It’s just a ploy to get you down to the dealership to make you purchase,” he claims. “In my opinion, this is a pretty easy objection to overcome.”

He advises, “Present anyone of those to the dealership and say, ‘This place was able to give me numbers site unseen can you at least match their numbers?'”

3. ‘Monthly payment goal?’

Billy advises against going into the muck of discussing what you want to pay monthly for a vehicle. According to Billy, the only thing you should be thinking about is what the cost will ultimately end up costing you.

“Your salesperson’s always going to try and get you fixated on the monthly cost instead of the overall cost,” he says. “That’s because the monthly cost can manipulated by the finance department.”

4. ‘Finance or cash?’

This is where playing things close to the chest will really work in your favor. Billy states that you should walk into a dealership with a pre-approval amount from another lender and interest rate. However, he says you should hold onto this card and allow the dealership to show you what type of financing they’re going to offer you.

“Next, the dealership’s going to ask you finance or cash,” he says. “Now in my opinion, unless there’s some benefit on the price or a discount or incentivized rate the dealership’s offering, I don’t have any reason to use the dealership financing but for negotiation purposes, I like to dangle that carrot in front of the salesman’s face.”

5. ‘Down payment?’

Again, Billy says you should keep things quiet on the down payment front—don’t let them know if you’re planning on putting any cash down. See what kind of pricing options they’re offering for the vehicle before you let them know that you’re willing to fork over any money. This way they can show your hand and then you can counter back.

“Basically, with almost any question the dealership asks you, always play dumb and mum is the word,” he says.

He gives some parting advice in the caption, writing, “Start by emailing, phoning or texting with the dealer. Until you locate the perfect vehicle and have everything just the way you want it, you shouldn’t step foot in the dealership.”

Several commenters who responded to Billy’s post shared some of the tips they had themselves for car buying.

“Trade in is always a no. bring your own financing. stand your ground. don’t fall for fees and addons. out the door price,” one person wrote.

Another agreed with the “bottom line” argument Billy gave in his piece, writing, “I just want to know how much the car will be in total. So I can compare to other dealerships/financing options”. Once they give you a price just pay cash!”

However, some people said that selling cars privately or using services like CarMax and Carvana didn’t necessarily work for them. One user said, “Carmax and carvana are 1500.00 lower than the local dealerships on my truck.”

The Daily Dot has reached out to Billy via Instagram direct message.

Here’s How Not Having An Inner Monologue Could Affect Your Memory

Source: Shutterstock

The fact that some people do not hear their voice narrating in their head, or don’t have the ability to argue with/talk to themselves, has been a hot topic of discussion lately.

After all, if you’re living your life one way, it probably never crossed your mind to think the opposite way even exists.

As scientists study more about anendophasia – the lack of an inner monologue – they are learning some interesting facts about its potential impact on memory.

Around 5-10% of the population don’t experience an internal dialogue with themselves, and recent research shows these folks could struggle more with problem solving – particularly in tasks that involve verbal memory.

Source: ShutterstockSource: Shutterstock

This study is the “first to conduct a systematic investigation of whether differences in inner speech have behavioral consequences.”

And according to their results, they absolutely do.

They ran a series of experiments testing the impact of having or not having this inner monologue on four things: verbal memory, the ability to judge rhymes, task-switching, and perceptual discrimination capabilities. The study involved 46 participants who reported low to no level of inner speech and 47 people who reported high or constant levels.

The first experiment required them to remember words spelled similarly or that sound alike. They theorized that being able to say the words to yourself in your head would make remembering them easier.

Dr. Johanne Nedergard, a co-author on the study, issued a statement.

“This hypothesis turned out to be true: the participants without an inner voice were significantly worse at remembering the words.”

They found the same in the second experiment, where participants were asked whether a pair of pictures contained words that rhyme.

People with less inner dialogue fared worse.

“Here, too, it is crucial to be able to repeat the words in order to compare their sounds and thus determine whether they rhyme.”

Source: ShutterstockSource: Shutterstock

The other two experiments focused on switching quickly between tasks and distinguishing between similar figures, and there seemed to be little or no difference between the groups.

“Taken together, our experiments suggest that there are real behavioral consequences of experiencing less or more inner speech. These differences may often be masked because people with anendophasia use alternate strategies to achieve similar overall performance.”

They’re not sure yet, however, how significant these issues might impact a person in practice.

“The short answer is that we just don’t know because we have only just begun to study it.”

They hope their research will be a springboard for other researchers to carry it further and more in depth in the future.
