Skylar Astin is guest starring as Todd Eames, a sweet and supportive brother to Laurie (Tessa Hope Slovis) who needs heart surgery while pregnant. The surgery was attempted once, with Jo (Camilla Luddington) monitoring the baby, but the baby pressed on Laurie’s heart causing it to stop, so they had to postpone. While Jo is already showing signs of being a very capable OB/GYN doctor, Addison is a world-renowned neonatal surgeon, and her skills could be quite useful here. What better way to tempt her back?
