In a tough reminder that no one is immune to COVID-19, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson announced Wednesday that he and his family had contracted the illness.

On Instagram Wednesday, the 48-year-old professional wrestler and actor addressed his followers, saying he and his family got COVID several weeks ago from close family friends. According to Johnson, everyone was on the other side of it now, and while his daughters Jasmine and Tiana had mild symptoms, his wife Lauren Hashian had a “rough go” of it.

In his address, Johnson urged his followers to wear masks, saying, “It baffles me that some people out there — including some politicians — will take this idea of wearing masks and make it part of a political agenda. It has nothing to do with politics. Wear your mask.”

Johnson joins a list of high-profile celebrities to have gotten the coronavirus. Others include actors Robert Pattinson, Tom Hanks, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and NBA stars Kevin Durant and Rudy Gobert.
