He’s known for starring in Harry Potter, defending trans people against J.K. Rowling, and for being an all-around great guy IMO.
He also keeps his personal life pretty private, which is why I was so surprised when he made a rare appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival with his girlfriend, Erin Darke.
They attended the premiere of Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, a film Daniel stars in as musician “Weird Al” Yankovic.
Daniel and Erin really don’t have many pictures together, so it’s nice to see them walking the carpet together!
I honestly had no idea these two have been dating for almost 10 years! They met on the set of their film, Kill Your Darlings in 2013.
And although he doesn’t really discuss his private life, Daniel did talk about his relationship briefly in an interview with People.
“I’ve been with my girlfriend for a decade pretty much. We’re really happy,” he said. “I just got to make the Weird Al movie, which is honestly one of the most pleasurable, exciting experiences in my career.”
