It’s okay if you’re still figuring things out in your twenties or thirties. You never stop growing. You never stop learning more about yourself.

You shouldn’t feel like there’s something wrong with you if you’re still lost about what you want from this world. You shouldn’t feel pressured to figure it out at a faster pace. You’re allowed to move at your own speed. You’re allowed to take your time and do whatever you need to feel fulfilled.

You have to stop putting so much pressure on yourself. You have to stop regretting the things you didn’t know yesterday and be thankful you know them today so you can prepare for a better future, a future that makes you feel happy and free.

No, it’s not easy to find yourself when you’re in your twenties and thirties because you feel like you should’ve finished the process by now. There are plenty of people who have already found their dream career and dream person and dream home — so you feel like you’re a million steps behind. You feel like you messed up somewhere along the way. You feel like you don’t have enough time, like you’re missing out, like you can’t fix what you’ve already broken.

You need to remember you’re allowed to continue finding yourself in your twenties and thirties. You’re allowed to make changes to your universe at any point in time. It’s never too late. You’re allowed to decide what you’ve been doing hasn’t been working and you need to start on a new path. You shouldn’t feel embarrassed about where you are in your life. You shouldn’t feel like you’re being judged by everyone around you because they have their lives together and you don’t even know what you want.

Society does its best to convince you that you should have everything figured out when you’re young, when you’re still a teenager, but there’s nothing wrong with discovering new things about yourself in your twenties and thirties. Your journey toward self-fulfillment is going to last a lifetime. There isn’t an endpoint. You can’t cross some imaginary finish line.

Throughout your entire life, you’re going to continue growing. You’re going to continue learning. You’re going to continue on your journey of self-discovery.

If you’re at an age where you feel like you should be settled down already, where you feel like you’re the only one without a game plan, remember you’re not alone. More importantly, remember there’s nothing wrong with you. You aren’t an idiot. You aren’t a failure. You aren’t an embarrassment.

It’s okay if you’re in your twenties or thirties (or forties or fifties) and still haven’t figured everything out. You need to stop telling yourself you’re falling behind because there isn’t a race. You aren’t in last place. You’re doing perfectly fine.

You might feel lost right now, but you’re going to find your way. You just can’t give up hope on yourself. You can’t assume you’re a lost cause. You can’t assume you’re always going to be miserable. You can’t assume your struggles are going to last forever. TC mark
