Well, this is quite the unconventional living situation!
You’re about to meet a woman named Kelly who, five years ago, got a divorce. But instead of moving into his own place like most exes do, her ex-husband Allen decided to get a roommate.
…And that roommate is Kelly’s own father!
Kelly says Allen showed up at her dad’s doorstep after the split, jobless and without anywhere else to go. Her father, Shade, felt so bad that he agreed to take Allen in, where he’s apparently been living ever since.
As much as Allen would love to find a new place, he says he has no real options.
Perhaps the most surprising thing of all are the living arrangements at Shade’s home. As he says in the video below, courtesy of Dr. Phil, he is currently living in Kelly’s childhood bedroom, in a bunkbed and all.
