Kayla Eubanks was banned from boarding her flight from New York to Chicago because of her outfit.

Before stepping onto the plane, staff at the gate stopped Kayla and said her black halter top was too inappropriate, and that other passengers may be offended.

According to Kayla, one employee “practically did cartwheels to ensure that I wouldn’t get on this plane y’all.” The staffer was trying to find the official dress code policy just minutes before departure time.

Kayla ended up being held at the gate for 30 minutes, all because of her shirt.

During the confrontation, she went to the bathroom to snap a selfie of her outfit to show her social media followers low-cut halter top and long red skirt.

She said she was fed-up with the “constant policing of women’s bodies.”

Things took an interesting turn when the captain of her plane approached her in the terminal, seemingly to help her get on board. “Do you have a shirt or do you want me to give you one of mine?” he asked. He actually gave her one of his own shirts to wear.

“The CAPTAIN of the flight loaned me his shirt so that I could board (having been removed from the flight and the flight being delayed). I eventually took it off,” Kayla continued. “Only to be told that I would have to speak with a supervisor upon landing.”

The airline has since apologized to Kayla as her bathroom photo quickly went viral, sparking a ton of debate across social media.
