Everyone’s had to make some pretty major adjustments in order to practice safe social distancing, and that includes folks in the entertainment industry.

We’re on week four (or seventeen, honestly who knows what day it is at this point) of no in-studio shows, and although seeing talk show hosts monologuing from their garages and bathtubs using their iPhone cameras was a definitely odd at first, it’s been really fun to watch just how creative they can all get in these tough times.

And this sketch from yesterday’s at-home edition of The Tonight Show is probably the best example yet.

Jimmy Fallon had Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell on for a Zoom chat, but when you get three Saturday Night Live veterans who together who, like the rest of us, are probably bored as sin and going a little loopy stuck inside, there’s no way you’re going to end up with a regular ol’ late night interview.

Instead, Jimmy, Kristen, and Will, acted out the most incredible, most dramatic virtual soap opera. And if you’re wondering, “Can jilted lovers still slap the hell out of each other through a conference call?” The answer is yes, yes they can.
