In 2017, Bradley testified against his former friend for the 2012 double murder charge. The prosecution based their case around his testimony, which stated that Bradley was ordered by Hernandez to carry out the assault after de Abreu allegedly spilled a drink on Hernandez at a nightclub in Boston.
According to his testimony, Bradley pulled up alongside the victims and fired numerous shots into their car, instantly killing the two men.
Hernandez’s defense team argued that it was Bradley who fired the gun and killed the men. Both men were not convicted of the double murder, but were charged with other crimes related to the case.
Hernandez was initially connected to the case after being spotted at a bar where the two victims were last seen. Additionally, the silver SUV seen at the crime scene was found in his cousin Tanya Singleton’s garage.
