Lola Letourneau, 10, was sitting in her parents’ SUV that was parked in the driveway of their home in Bakersfield, California.
It was a sunny morning when Lola helped out her mom by starting the car and turning the air conditioning on.
Suddenly, Lola noticed a man walking down the street. He quickly turned right up her driveway and approached her family’s home.
He didn’t notice her sitting in the SUV and watching him, though.
Tapping into her bravery and quick-thinking, Lola instantly remembered the advice her stepfather once gave her if she was ever in a situation like this.
The courageous little girl jumped out of the vehicle and put those lessons to use.
