Sofia Laine, the mother of Vanessa Bryant, recently gave a rather scathing interview about her own daughter. Vanessa has been publicly grieving the loss of her husband Kobe and daughter Gianna.
Vanessa says she and Kobe financially supported Sofia for the past two decades. They even bought her a three-bedroom home in Irvine, California.
In an interview on Univision’s El Gordo y La Flaca, Sofia claimed that Vanessa abruptly asked her to leave her house and return the car she was using. Sofia also says she has been cut off financially.
“We were sitting down together one day, Natalia, Vanessa and myself,” Sofia said. “Natalia can’t stay where they lived because every time she would come down the stairs, she would imagine seeing her father and my baby Gigi sitting on the couch together.”
“So, my daughter said, ‘Which house should we sell?’” Sofia continued. “And that’s when they said grandma’s house. After that, she told me, ‘I need you to leave the house.’”
Once she’s out of the three-bedroom house, Sofia says she’ll have nowhere else to go.
