Trump Jr. Responds To Drug Speculation After COVID Diagnosis

Donald Trump Jr. addressed the widespread internet rumors that suggest he’s abusing drugs on Saturday after testing positive for the coronavirus.

In a video posted online, the president’s son, who is currently self-quarantining at his cabin in Upstate New York, brought up the drug claims unprovoked while detailing his symptoms.

“I don’t have the red eyes like they claimed I had for apparently using cocaine prior to my RNC speech,” Trump Jr. said. “That is the world of the internet. God knows I troll and do my fair share of it, so I guess it comes back to me, in time, as well. That’s the game.’”

Trump Jr.’s comment refers to claims made in August that he appeared to have “cocaine eyes” during the Republican National Convention (RNC). But that was far from the first time the president’s son had been accused of drug use.

In late October, internet users also claimed that Trump Jr. exhibited symptoms of excessive cocaine use after he seemingly struggled to control his jaw movements during an interview on Fox News.

Despite the rumors, however, no evidence has surfaced to substantiate any of the claims.

Trump Jr.’s alleged ex, reality TV star Aubrey O’Day, said in statements on Twitter earlier in November that she thought the president’s son looked as if he was abusing the prescription drug Adderall.

But O’Day, who claimed to have taken drugs with Trump Jr. but declined to provide specifics, said the president’s son never expressed any interest in cocaine.

This is not the first time Trump Jr. has addressed internet rumors. Directly after the RNC, Trump Jr. blamed the lighting on the stage for causing his eyes to appear red during an interview on Fox News.

“They started doing this tending thing—’Donald Trump Jr.’s on cocaine’ and all of that. I said, no no no,” he said at the time. “You have me confused with Hunter Biden.”
