This Girl Tweeted The Time She Convinced A Liquor Store She Was Her Grandmother

When you’re young and desperate, you tend to get creative, and it’s usually for something that, in hindsight, doesn’t seem like such a big deal.

Like orchestrating a complex way of going out on a date with that girl/boy you were crushing on. Or sneaking into the R-Rated movie that actually ended up being awful (I’m looking at you, The Cell). Or, getting your hands on some inebriation-inducing contraband before a party so you and your friends can get LIT.

Achieving your goal was all you could think about it, so in your desperation, you managed to actually come up with a way to get it done. The thing is though, no matter how well thought-out your plan is, you need to be 100% resolved to actually go through with it.

Those nerves of steel is what ultimately sells a plan and makes people think twice before questioning whether or not something is amiss or if you actually know what you’re doing. Like this Twitter user’s amazing booze-buying caper.

Reem managed to get her hand’s on her grandmother’s ID, which was valid.

There’s only one problem: Reem is a young woman. Her grandmother isn’t so young.

But she didn’t let that stop her from heading to the local ABC supermarket with a flawless disguise and a pocketful of confidence.

After oldening herself up, Reem decided to go for broke and head inside.

She stepped inside, picked up a couple of bottles of Burnett’s Watermelon Vodka, looked the cashier in the face and…

…allegedly, it actually worked.

That’s right, Reem’s icy veins got some praise on Twitter and got some people wanting to follow in her footsteps.

But there were some people who weren’t as impressed with her antics.

This wasn’t the first time someone donned a disguise in order to “beat the system” so to speak. There was this guy who told the epic tale of his sister committing grand theft corn dog at different Sonic locations.

He even had the pictures to prove it.

Why she wanted corn dogs, and from Sonic, is beyond me, but it actually worked.

That’s the face of victory right there.

And the spoils.

Of course, like our friend Reem, there were a bunch of people who pointed out that this was illegal.

But Fritz, who posted the tweet, insists that his sister gave the corn dogs back…

Don’t try this at home, kids.
