Amber Luke of Brisbane, Australia faced a slew of body image issues by the age of 14. During her teenage years, she was diagnosed with clinical depression and became so insecure about her appearance that she couldn’t look in the mirror and found it difficult to face the world outside.
At 16 years old, Amber got her first tattoo — and she was instantly hooked. She found body art and modification boosted her confidence levels and gave her a better sense of self-worth.
Amber began her “body modification journey” and started covering her face and body with tattoos.
She got her first taste of internet fame after undergoing a 40-minute procedure to transform the whites of her eyes into a bright blue color. Though it was incredibly painful and even blinded her for three weeks, Amber says she has no regrets. She’s now referred to as the “Blue Eyed White Dragon” online and in her circle of friends.
Over the years, Amber has spent $50,000 on 600 tattoos, and another $20,000 on cosmetic procedures… including fillers, ear implants, and even a “split tongue” to look more like a dragon.
