Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae Young are happily planning their 2021 wedding, and it sounds like the couple definitely want to keep their guest list small. In fact, they want to keep it so small that they’ve decided exes aren’t allowed — which means Tarek’s ex-wife Christina Anstead won’t be receiving an invite in the mail.
Heather kicked off the interview with ET by saying, “We’re planning sometime summer 2021. We have dates on hold. Right now we’re in between Cabo and California, so we don’t know where it’s gonna be,but it’s gonna be one of those places.”
The couple explained that they definitely want Tarek’s two children, Taylor and Brayden, involved in the wedding… but that’s as far as the family love goes. “No, no exes at the wedding. Small, less distractions, more intimate, better conversations with the people around us. You know, we just think smaller is better.”
Heather added, “Just intimate, with our best friends and family. We’re gonna have to be strict with our list.”
ET also asked whether or not Tarek, Heather, and Christina have spoken about Tarek and Heather’s engagement. Heather said that answer is a big nope. “I’m helping raise the kids, so I think she knew like how important my role was, but no. It’s different. We have our own life and we respect her as their mom and we co-parent but we’re a couple. We don’t need to sit down with her and discuss that.”
Heather also added that Tarek’s family has been amazing, especially his kids. “[The] whole family was welcoming, the kids were so welcoming. I started putting Taylor to bed right away, and we’re like best friends. They just open arms welcomed me in.”
