Cheryl Stewart works in the cafeteria at Teton High School in Idaho. Both she and her husband have been going through a rough patch.

Cheryl’s husband is currently battling prostate cancer and lupus. She herself is a cancer survivor. Now, Cheryl has taken on their financial responsibilities. Not only does she work as the school’s lunch lady, but she’s also had to pick up other odd jobs. To make matters even more difficult, the engine in her car broke down so she has to borrow her parent’s car to get to her various jobs.

Oh, and since she can’t afford to take any days off, she has to undergo surgery over Christmas break. Talk about a bout of bad luck.

When she’s not working or taking care of her husband, Cheryl bakes bread for funerals in her community. That’s how good of a person she truly is.

In this tear-jerking clip, Cheryl thinks her boss has called her into work for an “emergency” shift. But upon her arrival, she’s approached by a man with a microphone.

As it turned out, a mysterious donor had been keeping an eye on Cheryl’s story — and this person was about to give her a surprise that left her barely able to breathe.
